Annual Classes
Schedule & Fees
Annual classes run from September to May with our full year tuition broken into nine monthly instalments as low as $55 per month. Individual dancer fees are calculated during registration and are based on the number of dancers in a family and their hours spent in the studio per week with discounts as more dance hours are added. Contact us for more information and your personalized fee schedule.
Depending on class, additional student costs may include costumes, pictures, recital tickets, festival entry fees and travel fees.
Our full year program offers multiple on stage performances for our dancers that include our local Festival of Trees, Winter Wonderland recital in December, Zirka Dance Challenge in April and our year end dance recital in May as well as performing at community events.

AFDS COMPANY
Our competitive program is unlike any other competitive dance program!
We focus on empowering and nurturing our dancers while giving them the technical training required to perform at a competitive level. We also offer opportunities such as photo shoots, team bonding, guest choreography, community events, extra groups, NUVO Dance Convention and 1820 Dance Convention just to name a few, giving dancers memories to last a lifetime and a forever dance family!
Competitive dancers are taught by a professional team of educators and choreographers that help to inspire and develop their technique, self-expression, conditioning, versatility and overall talent.
If you have a dancer that is looking for that extra push technically, and have had a full year of ballet and jazz, our program has opportunities that will enhance their dance technique in addition to their foundational classes. Our program runs during the week, giving dancers their weekends to enjoy their families and friends.
Classes not required to have ballet or jazz to compete are Hip-Hop and Tap. Hip-Hop and Tap are on an audition basis.
Performance Team Program
Offered to students ages 6-9 or 10 and over that are not ready for our full competitive program. The Performance Team is designed for students with current dance experience who are looking to increase their time commitment and put their best foot forward on the path towards competitive dance. The program will have a stronger focus on increasing vocabulary, technique and presentation while preparing students for a future competitive environment.
Students in the performance team program will showcase their achievements in a routine performed at the Year End Recital as well as attending one-two local and 2-3 out of town dance festivals. In addition, students may have the opportunity to perform a solo.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
- Students are required to have a minimum of one year of completed training in each discipline of Ballet and Jazz.
- Students in the program have a mandatory requirement of attending two Ballet classes, one Jazz class and a conditioning class each week; Lyrical, Tap, Acro and Hip Hop are optional disciplines.

Schedule & Fees
Being a member of AFDS Company and the Performance Team is both a time and financial commitment. Fees for choreography, instruction and rehearsals vary by studio and instructor time required and number of dancers per team. Competition costs are dependent on the dancer's age, the size of the group performing, and the number of dances the dancer is participating in. Additional CPT and Performance Team costs include costumes and travel fees. Please contact us directly for an estimate.
Dancers on the CPT and the Performance Team can expect to participate in 2 to 3 out-of-town competitions and 1 to 2 local festivals each year. These competitions are held between March and May each year.
